Wylie Bee is a Costa Rica based Illustrator, surfer, and sun chaser from San Diego, California.
Inspired to pursue an art career focused on global and environmental issues with an emphasis on nature and preservation, She graduated from California State University Long Beach with a BFA in Illustration.
Her work celebrates the natural world, the surreal, and the unknown. Combining her passion for ecological conservation with a knowing of the magical and spiritual realm that surrounds us- she sees the world through a careful and celebratory perspective. Through her creations you see the story of a wild woman who has been challenged, blessed, hurt, and amazed at the beauty of nature— and her work puts into visual language what she has lived. Her art is fierce and colorful, soft and dynamic. It is a love letter to the ocean and the wild beings that coexist with it.
Her work has continued to evolve towards editorial art, illustration, branding, and clothing design. She has worked as a creative for brands such as Nanocraft CBD, Move U, Wildcraft Medicine, and a wide range of local start up companies.
Her current pursuits include large scale paintings, murals, drinking cacao and finding the best waves around this beautiful country.
